Este projeto teve em conta a dire\u00e7\u00e3o do vento. Para ser mais preciso, o projeto Windstalk da Masdar consiste em 1.203 postes e\u00f3licos, que est\u00e3o ancorados a uma altura de 55 metros acima do solo. O di\u00e2metro da sua base de bet\u00e3o situa-se entre 10 e 20 metros.<\/p>\n<p>As hastes vis\u00edveis s\u00e3o feitas de varetas de resina refor\u00e7ada com fibra de carbono, com um di\u00e2metro inferior de 30 cent\u00edmetros e um di\u00e2metro superior de 5 cent\u00edmetros. A parte superior do poste est\u00e1 equipada com uma luz LED, que pode ajustar a luminosidade em fun\u00e7\u00e3o da for\u00e7a do vento. Quando n\u00e3o h\u00e1 vento, o poste fica parado e as luzes apagam-se.<\/p>\n<p>Os fundos das varas tocam-se, formando um tecido semelhante a um tapete. Outro facto interessante \u00e9 que a parte inferior do caule tem a forma de um v\u00f3rtice el\u00edptico. Quando a \u00e1gua da chuva escorrega por estes postes, desliza pelo declive na parte inferior e acumula-se nos espa\u00e7os entre os postes, permitindo que as plantas cres\u00e7am de forma selvagem.<\/p>\n<p>Como \u00e9 que estes parques e\u00f3licos funcionam?<\/p>\n<p>Contrariamente \u00e0s expectativas, estes parques e\u00f3licos n\u00e3o dependem apenas do vento para acionar as turbinas para a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de energia.<\/p>\n<p>Neste tipo de parque e\u00f3lico, os postes oscilam com o vento e a pilha de discos piezoel\u00e9ctricos \u00e9 comprimida, gerando assim corrente atrav\u00e9s dos el\u00e9ctrodos. Tudo isto \u00e9 apresentado de forma visual para mostrar a eletricidade gerada pelo poste. Assim que o vento p\u00e1ra, as luzes LED apagam-se.<\/p>\n<p>Para maximizar ainda mais a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de energia do parque de turbinas e\u00f3licas, foi instalado um gerador de bin\u00e1rio na parte inferior do poste.<\/p>\n<p>Quando a haste oscila, o fluido \u00e9 for\u00e7ado a fluir atrav\u00e9s do cilindro, convertendo a energia cin\u00e9tica da haste oscilante em energia el\u00e9ctrica.
