Carbon fiber plates look simple, but the path from raw fiber to a finished, dimensionally precise plate is a tightly controlled process. Here’s how it works.
From prepreg to plate
- Prepreg layup — resin-impregnated carbon sheets are laid in oriented plies for the needed strength direction
- Curing — heat and pressure in an autoclave or oven lock the matrix
- CNC finishing — 3-axis/5-axis machining trims, drills and countersinks to tight tolerances
- Inspection — thickness, flatness and void checks before shipping
Why it matters
Precise layup and clean CNC finishing are what make carbon plates swap-in replacements for metal brackets. Taishi Technology runs prepreg-to-CNC in-house for consistent quality. Talk to our engineers.
