Shenzhen, China — Taishi Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. has been granted a Chinese invention patent for “An Optimization Method for the Compression Molding Process of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Composite Thin Sheets” (碳纤维增强复合材料薄材的模压成型工艺优化方法).
The patent was issued by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) with patent number ZL202511091938.3 and authorization announcement number CN120963082B. The application was filed on 5 August 2025 and the grant was announced on 25 August 2026 (certificate No. 9215684).

What the patent is about
Compression molding is the workhorse process behind most thin-wall carbon fiber components — covers, shells, panels and structural skins used in drones and eVTOL aircraft, humanoid robots, automotive interiors, consumer electronics housings and sports equipment. As wall thickness drops, the process becomes far less forgiving: resin flow, fiber orientation, trapped air, and cure timing all have to line up within a narrow window.
The patented method focuses on optimizing that process window — systematically tuning the key molding parameters so that thin carbon fiber composite sheets can be produced with fewer defects and better repeatability. In practical terms, it targets the problems that cost the most on a production line:
- Fewer molding defects — reducing voids, dry spots, resin-rich or resin-starved areas, wrinkles and fiber distortion in thin laminates
- Better surface quality — a more consistent finish straight out of the mold, which means less post-processing and polishing
- Tighter dimensional consistency — part-to-part stability that matters when components have to assemble with tight tolerances
- Higher yield and shorter cycle time — a more predictable window means less scrap and faster throughput
