Carbon fiber is too valuable to landfill. New recycling processes are turning manufacturing scrap and end-of-life parts into usable material — and closing the loop on composites.
How recycling works
- Pyrolysis — heat drives off the resin, leaving clean fibers
- Solvolysis — solvents dissolve the matrix at lower temperature
- Reuse formats — recovered fiber becomes non-woven mats, chopped filler or SMC
Why it matters
Recycled carbon cuts both cost and embedded carbon, and it’s increasingly required by automotive and wind OEMs. Taishi Technology tracks recycled-content options for sustainable programs. Talk to our team.
